Allan D’Arcangelo’s Landscape III is a consideration of the new American landscape of highways, suspended bridges, traffic signs, and billboards. A minor border of sky and grass surround a traffic sign that normally indicates a hairpin curve. Turned on its side and placed over another arrow sign pointing in the opposite direction, the sign’s meaning becomes unclear and potentially dangerous.
