A Yugoslav émigré, Radakovich was a painter, sculptor, and metalsmith who studied and worked in Rochester in the 1950s. Ever one to be observant of the potential inherent in found materials, he transformed a rock from Lake Ontario into the base of a sculpture and cast and soldered pieces of flotsam and jetsam into a work that reveals itself to be a bird.
