Colin Campbell Cooper also painted the Gallery’s Main Street Bridge, Rochester. Emma, a Nunda native, attended Wells College in Aurora, New York, and the Art Students League. She taught at Mechanics Institute, RIT’s predecessor, in the early years of the 20th century, and was an active member of the Rochester Art Club. She and her husband were intrepid travelers, and they painted scenes throughout Europe and as far afield as India.
