"He was born in 1735. Using the name Haruhiro, he began his career as a printmaker in 1769 at the age of thirty-five. In 1778 he became a ronin. He was honored with the rank of hokkyo in 1782. Koryusai would have been fifty-five years old when his last print was issued in 1790."
