According to the Yale University Publication "Emerson Tuttle: Fifty Prints" (1948) this image was used as an illustration for a book of poems by the artist's sister-in-law Elizabeth Hollister Frost. "Lost Lyricist" was published by Harpers in 1929. Frost was awarded the Lillian Fairchild award in 1928 for the finest contribution to art and literature by a citizen of the Rochester area.
