William de Morgan is considered the most important ceramic artist of the Arts and Crafts Movement. These four tiles are decorated with his "B.B.B design," made to ornament the cast iron fireplace surrounds produced by the Norwich firm Barnard, Bishop & Barnard. The B.B.B. design was produced with both yellow and turquoise flowers.
