Kathy Calderwood is an Associate Professor of Art at Nazareth College, Rochester, NY, where she teaches painting and illustration. She is known for her use of familiar icons and symbols mixed with whimsical and surrealistic images.
Color lithography is a planographic technique and a multi-step process that requires colors to be applied separately. Each color requires a separate drawing. Once created and transferred to the stone, it is inked in successive layers in order to create various hues and gradations.
