Sculpture
Small bronze animal figures were produced during the Geometric Period for dedication at the sanctuaries of the gods. One significant aspect of Greek art was the ability to convey the essential nature of a figure using simple lines and little surface modeling. Schematized horses were also a common motif on vases of this period.
