Sculpture
According to the artist, the piece begins by being directly worked in wax, and then cast with the help of bronze sculptor Dexter Benedict in Penn Yan, New York. Clements then patinates the piece. Parts of the work are molded from carved pieces. Within the piece, some elements come from parts of other sculptures reassembled in a different way. She has a storehouse of vocabulary of elements that are generated through other pieces. Her influences are African tribal cultures.
