Sin-kashid of Uruk ruled that southern city in about 1865-1835 BCE. Founder of a new dynasty, he was from the nomadic Amnanum tribe, which lived in what is now eastern Syria and western Iraq. To establish his reputation, Sin-kashid had numerous tablets like this one made, all boasting of the same thing: that he built a temple for his god and a palace for his kingship.
